Mahour: A Persian Date Extension for Thunderbird
Mahour
Mahour is an extension for the Thunderbird email client that adds a Solar Hijri (Jalali/Persian) date column. The legacy extension Iranian Date For Thunderbird stopped working after version 68.

Installation
- Install from the Mozilla Add-ons Repository
- Download and install manually:
Building the XPI File from Source
XPI files are ZIP archives that Mozilla uses with the xpi extension.
- Download the source code from and extract it, or use
git clone https://github.com/mhdzli/mahour. - In a terminal, navigate to the
srcfolder inside the extension code and build the extension file using:zip -r mahour.xpi *
Preferences
- Show month name instead of month number.
- Hide time (since the Gregorian date column may be used simultaneously, you may want to hide the time display in the Persian date column).
- Show day of the week.
- Use English digits instead of Persian.
To access the extension preferences, click on Preferences in the Add-ons Manager page.
- Next planned update: adding the Solar Hijri date to the Thunderbird calendar.
